Overview - Why use a premium rate support line package?
Many
businesses, particularly in the IT industry,
recoup some of the costs of providing technical
assistance by running a premium rate support
line. It is an easy and reliable way of ensuring
that you are receiving payment for the time you
are spending assisting your customers. Or it
can be used to sell a support contract.
When your customers call the line they will be told that they are being charged for the call, and then their call is diverted either to a hunt-group or to the least busy telephone line.
Calls are pre-announced so that your staff can choose whether or not to accept a particular call. They are also reminded that the call is premium rate.
If all staff are busy, the caller will be informed and asked to call back later.
Out of office hours (which you can specify) they will hear a recorded message informing them of your opening times.
The service enables you to offer a professional support service to your callers, increasing customer confidence and improving call-handling efficiency.
