With a Callagenix 0844 number you pay NO incoming call charges and you can earn up to 1.25ppm on every call. When your customer phones your 0844 number they are charged 5ppm from a BT landline and using our free standard routing service, their call is automatically (and instantly) redirected to your UK landline free of charge, whilst all the time you are earning up to 1.25ppm.  You can change the UK landline it diverts to from within your Callagenix account. Changes are immediate and can be done as often as you like free of charge. In addition, call data including any revenues calculated are also provided free of charge.

If you would like your 0844 number to do more than divert to a UK landline, for example, route to mobiles, internationally, or use an ACD (Group Divert), virtual switchboard, Answerphone,  Information line etc, you can do this and much more using our intelligent routing services .

0844 call revenues generated using a standard service is paid monthly in arrears.  0844 call revenues generated using any of the intelligent routing services are automatically added to your Callagenix account balance.  Surplus revenues can also be paid monthly in arrears.

You can of course start with a free standard routing service and upgrade to intelligent routing services using the same 0844 number at a later date. Also, It’s worth noting that in the light of recent Ofcom changes to 0870 numbers, 0844 numbers are becoming more popular for clients looking to generate small revenues.

Why rent an 0844 number?

With an 0844 number, you can earn money whilst enabling your customers to keep in touch with you. Your callers pay 5ppm, and you receive from 1ppm for each call you receive from one of our existing packages.

You can take the number with you if you relocate, something which cannot be done with standard local landline numbers, and have calls forwarded to your existing landline or mobile anywhere in the world.

How do 0844 numbers work?

Standard Routing Service 0844 numbers (Number Direct)

You simply decide which number you would like, and we do the rest. Your 0844 number "sits" on top of your UK landline number. When customers dial your 0844 number they are redirected to your landline (destination number). This does not affect your UK landline number in any way. Using the Standard Routing Callagenix “free service” 0844 numbers will only work diverting to UK landline numbers. If you need to change the destination number, or collect call data, simply login to your Callagenix account. 0844 Numbers and Intelligent Routing Services (Callagenix Services)

0844 national rate numbers can be integrated with other Callagenix Intelligent Routing services such as virtual switchboard (see sample diagram below), answerphone, fax to email, call diversion, company information line, group divert, call forward and call transfer.

Here the caller dials the Callagenix number, the call is routed to a Callagenix platform that runs your service and handles the call is the manner you prescribe. This may involve a simple announcement or divert to a mobile or UK lanldine, or it may involve call options and call center hunt groups.
