OFCOM changes to 0870 numbers
As from 1st August 2009 Callagenix will be forced to change the pricing model on 0870 numbers to remove the 2p peak, 0.3p off peak revenue payment and replace this with a charge from 2p per minute, (this charge is still awaiting confirmation as rates have yet to be agreed by OFCOM and BT).
If your 0870 numbers are on Callagenix Advanced services then this change will automatically happen on your account. In this case you will be able to continue to use your numbers but your call costs will increase.
If your 0870 numbers are on Basic services then your numbers will no longer attract revenue payments but will be charged from 2p per minute. If you only have revenue paying numbers with Callagenix then it is unlikely that you will have setup a payment mechanism. In order to continue using your numbers it will be necessary to setup a payment mechanism.
