Why rent an 0871 number?
0871 Rate 10ppm numbers have a fixed cost to your customers of 8.5 pence per minute plus VAT, regardless of the time the call is placed. You receive a share of this for each call you receive.
The 0871 Rate 10ppm number is cheaper for your customers than a premium rate number, but still enables you to increase your revenue. They are most commonly used for recorded information lines, but can be combined with any of our virtual switchboard services depending on your specific business requirements.

How do 0871 numbers work?
Basic Service with 0871 number (Number Direct)
You simply decide which number you would like, and we do the rest. The number can be redirected to your existing landline or mobile phone number; you receive a percentage of the fee charged for each call received.
0871 numbers and Advanced Services (Callagenix Services)
If you choose to select any other services from Callagenix advanced services such as virtual switchboard (see sample diagram below), answer phone, fax, call diversion, company information line, group divert, call forward and call transfer.
Here the caller dials the Callagenix number, the call is routed to a Callagenix platform that runs your service and handles the call is the manner you prescribe. This may involve a simple announcement or divert to a mobile or UK lanldine, or it may involve call options and call center hunt groups.
